Ballantine’s spices up signature flavour

Ballantine’s has launched the Warming Spices Edition, the first in a new series of 21yo signature flavour limited-edition Scotch whiskies showcasing the flavour imparted by the cask over 21 years of maturation.

A travel retail exclusive retailing at $147, the multi-dimensional blend was crafted by Ballantine’s master blender, Sandy Hyslop, who said: “This limited release showcases this evolution of flavour and delivers amplified layers of complex spices which pay homage to 21 years of maturation.”

Digital travel trail

Launched first at Seoul Incheon Airport Terminals 1 and 2 in November, the Warming Spices Edition was available to the rest of travel retail throughout December. To celebrate the new series, Pernod Ricard connected with travellers before, during and after their trip through a digital travel trail targeting Korean consumers. Presented with a downloadable e-coupon redeemable in-store, shoppers received luxury leather coasters and branded glasses as a gwp, exclusively at Incheon.

Ballantine’s Warming Spices Edition is available for one year only at airports in Korea, Japan, China, Singapore, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Thailand, Malaysia, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, and the US.
